Description
Alabama artist Daniel A. Moore has now completed his latest masterwork in oils, Never Again. This magnificent new painting portrays the power and grace of Trent Richardson’s hallmarked running style as exemplified in his historic 57-yard run during the 2011 Iron Bowl.
“More than just documenting this historic win, I want this painting to portray the fulfillment of the vow, ‘Never Again,’ which the Alabama players adopted after last year’s humbling loss – a come-from-behind win by Auburn,” Mr. Moore explains. “I want the meaning of the painting to communicate a real-life, positive message to all who see it. Most of our greatest lessons are learned through struggles and mistakes, and then being committed not to repeat them. True to their vow and commitment, there was no letdown by Bama’s players at the end of this year’s Iron Bowl. Although this was exemplified by the entire team, I can think of no better representative image through which I can express this than that of Trent Richardson’s 4th-quarter, Heisman-caliber run.”
From concept, to preliminary pencil drawing, to the final rendered grain of flying sand, Mr. Moore has poured hundreds of passionate hours of labor into this exquisite work of fine art.
